Whether you like to write poetry or read it, I’m glad you’ve landed here. Seeing the world through the eyes of a poet can be rewarding at any age. I should know.
I made my poetry debut at age 8, when I peddled “Pat’s Poetry,” mimeographed sheets printed in purple ink, to our neighbors in suburban Atlanta. I sold them then for a nickel apiece. Since my dad ran them off for no charge at the office, I made money writing poetry – a rarity!
Many years later, my late husband and poet Bill Hurley inspired me to renew my interest in writing poetry. Here you’ll find some of my recently published works, along with news of our co-authored labor of love, a collection called Hard to Swallow.
