Pat Hurley is a Pushcart-nominated poet from Columbus, Ohio, whose work has been published in literary journals including Pudding Magazine, Still Crazy, Common Threads, a journal of the Ohio Poetry Association, and OPA’s ekphrastic poetry anthology A Rustling and Waking Within, as well as online journals The MOON Magazine and Snapdragon. She and her late husband Bill Hurley also wrote a collection of poems, Hard to Swallow, from their individual perspectives as patient and caregiver during his battle with esophageal cancer (NightBallet Press 2018).
Pat, a former newspaper reporter and lawyer, also writes the humor column “Balancing Act” under the name Pat Snyder for ThisWeek papers in Columbus. When she is not writing poetry, she coaches attorneys.
